Measure your jeans size
The size of jeans usually consists of two numbers. The first number is for the width and the second is for the length. You might also see W for width and L for length in front of the number, but that’s not always the case. That’s why it’s smart to remember what order the numbers should be in. Jeans sizes are displayed in inches, so you should always convert to centimeters. Before you can figure out which jeans size will work best for you, you’ll need to do these three steps first.
1. Measure your waist
To calculate your width measurement, your waist measurement is very important. You can measure this size by placing a measuring tape around your waist. You can use the centimeters you measured later to read in the chart the size of the jeans you have.
2. Measure the hip circumference
In addition to your waist measurement, it is also important to know your hip measurement when calculating your width measurement. You measure your hip measurement in the same way as above. You place a tape measure around your hips and then read the centimetre reading.
3. Measure the length of the inseam
The next step is to calculate your height measurement. You can do this by measuring the length from crotch to ankle with a tape measure. The centimeters you’ve measured are also called your inseam length, and combined with the width, are what you’ll need to calculate your jeans size.
Calculate the size of women’s jeans
Now that you know the width and length, it’s time to calculate which jeans size will suit you best. In the first table you can read the width measurements and in the second table the length. This is also the order you can keep in mind when buying the perfect women’s jeans. The table shows common sizes, they may differ for each brand.

Calculate the size of men’s jeans
